Massage Therapy
Program
Transfer Student
Information
According to the rules of the Board of Massage Therapy, students
transferring from other schools are not required by law to spend a
minimum number of hours in our program. Graduates need only take
any necessary additional hours or courses required to meet
Florida's requirements.
For all programs offered by the institution, a transcript from
the former school and a personal interview with an Admissions
Advisor are required. An official transcript must be sent directly
to Florida Academy of Massage & Skin Care by the previous
school, which must be licensed by the Department of Education or
the equivalent licensing authority of the state in which the
facility is located. A determination will be made by Admissions as
to the number of credits which can be transferred as credit toward
our program requirements. This determination will be made in view
of the course material previously taken, the length of time since
the training was received and the experience the prospective
student has obtained since graduating. After transfer hours have
been established by Admissions, and a personal interview with an
Admissions Advisor has been successfully completed, the applicant
will be charged for only the hours they need to complete Florida's
training requirements plus a $150.00 Registration Fee. The same
refund policy that applies to program students applies to transfer
students.
